I have not seen all the tools involved in our trade operated. But I have never seen one of these tools be used. Is it for really difficult removal? I guess I am puzzled by its purpose.

Hi James,
Yes – some of these hands are extremely difficult to remove without breaking them. I have had issues in the past with various hands where the hand detaches from the collet. This tool is very handy indeed (no pun intended).
