I have looked on the internet and eBay for the prescribed movement but they all seem very expensive. Can I use another type of movement if so what do you recommend

Hi Paul, the clone of the Unitas 6498 is quite reasonable in price – about 40 UKP for a good quality Chinese clone (ST 3621).
