Repair Valjoux 7750 – Moving in case

This one had case clamps which were too short – I decided to make a new pair from .5mm steel using the original screws. The clamps needed to clamp the movement to the case ring and to extend to clamp the movement and case ring to the case.

Further to this the client provided a new dial and hands set for the watch which I fitted. I found that the old dial had a broken dial foot which was causing the dial to move about as it was not secured properly. This movement was causing the hands to not be aligned. It was fortunate that this did not cause damage to the extended pivots.
